INEOS
The Kinneil Terminal is an oil stabilisation and gas separation plant which represents the end of the Forties Pipeline System, which transports crude oil 238 miles (384 km) from the Central North Sea. terminal has a capacity of more than one million barrels of oil per day, representing the around 40% of the total UK oil production.

Improving the conformance of Safety Instrumented Systems, Controls and Alarms Layers of Protection to INEOS Standards and IEC61511 requirements.

SIS Lifecycle activities including developing Safety Requirement Specifications (SRS), SIF development, sensitivity analysis and verification to ensure LOPA SIF PFDavg requirements are met.

Addressing Health and Safety Executive EC&I Inspection Reports in the area of Process Safety, performing ALARP, Cost Benefit and Indicative spend calculations, developing forward plans and Project Initiation Requests to close Safety gaps

Functional Safety and Fitness for Service Assessments, 5 yearly SIF Audits

Participation in Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA) studies.

Review of instrumented Layers of Protection (Alarm, BPCS and SIF) for conformance to company standards.

Safety Instrumented Function Design and Verification using ABB TRAC and ISOGRAPH (Fault Tree) for more complex scenarios.
